Former Morris County Clothing Store Owner Sentenced For Recording Kids In Bathroom: Prosecutor

The former owner of Plato's Closet, a clothing retail store in Roxbury Township, was sentenced on Friday, Oct. 4, after pleading guilty to filming his employees, including juveniles, using the bathroom, when he ran the store.

Nicholas Zirpoli, a 36-year-old Lincoln Park resident faces 364 days in the Morris County Correctional Facility and three years probation after pleading guilty to 10 counts of invasion of privacy and one count of child pornography, Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll, Chief of Investigations Robert McNally, and Chief Dean Adone of the Roxbury Township Police Department said.

Zirpoli is no longer the owner of Plato's Closet and is barred from the premises, a representative for the new ownership group told Daily Voice. Zirpoli sold the store in May 2024 and it has been under new ownership and management since then, the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said.

Zirpoli recorded 11 employees in total, both male and female, in February 2023 authorities said.
